The Why and How: Our Big Hairy Audacious Goal and Core Purpose

Bad behaviors, egoism and own optimization aka “bad culture” lead to toxic work relationships, silent quitting and unmotivated workers. This in turn leads to worse talent acquisition, higher turnover in workforce and ultimately significantly less output and net income.

For individuals it means that work often is neither considered likeable nor fun.

We want to change that.

In the past years (more on that in the section “Backstory” below), we have seen that there are certain norms, e.g. what true transparency means, how to achieve true empowerment, how feedback is given and that are completely independent of the type of work, the industry or the country one operates in - they should be a standard.

Over years we have experienced ourselves first hand, that the impossible is possible: To work with great people, as a true team without hierarchies while being highly effective and output driven and to have fun along the way. We want to make an impact and bring this experience to more companies.

Thats why our BHAG (”Big Hairy Audacious Goal”) is:

Cultural DNA is commonly understood as the biggest competitive advantage.

In order to achieve that BHAG, we need to not only have a significant and long-term impact on the business results of our clients, but also we need to have worked with a large number of customers and then conducted a scientific study to demonstrate in practice what research has already shown. We will prove, that culture is the most important competitive moat a company can build and thus convince leaders to focus more on culture, which ultimately leads to a paradigm shift how companies are run. We are at the forefront of this movement. That’s a moonshot, but didn’t all big leaps seem impossible first?

As a side effect on our road to the BHAG and through our core purpose, we do our part to minimize crime, decrease violence, alleviate discrimination and many more negative behaviors while making people have more fun at work. This is how we make a difference in the world.

But how are we going to achieve this? The core purpose answers that. Our Core Purpose is:

By fostering positive, value-oriented behaviors, we forge high performance cultures that thrive on exceptionally engaged employees.

Let’s dissect this to explain a bit more:
